What a SAC code is

SAC (Services Accounting Code) classifies services for GST. Every SAC starts with 99 and has 6 digits: 9963 is food and accommodation, 9983 professional and IT services, 9989 printing. It goes on the invoice the same way an HSN code does for goods.

How many digits to print

With aggregate turnover up to ₹5 crore in the previous financial year, print at least 4 digits on B2B tax invoices (optional on B2C). Above ₹5 crore, print 6 digits on every invoice. GST 2.0 slabs are 0%, 5%, 18% and 40%, with 3% for gold and silver and 0.25% for rough diamonds.
